The Sierra Club proudly endorses

Matt Johnston

for State Delegate District 30B

Matt Johnston is an outstanding advocate for the environment. As Anne Arundel County’ first Environmental Policy Director, Matt wrote Anne Arundel County’s Forest Conservation Ordinance, safeguarding countless acres of forest from being bulldozed. He authored the County’s greenways plan to preserve thousands of acres of open space and repeatedly took on developers who tried to “upzone” and pave over rural land. Matt is currently Executive Director of the Arundel Rivers Federation, which heals and protects the the South, West, and Rhode Rivers and champions clean water statewide

It’s Time for a New State Delegate!

The current state delegate has voted for only 29% of the bills important for the environment. The Sierra Club is confident that Matt Johnston will be a much stronger advocate for the environment.

Matt Johnston is also endorsed by the Maryland League of Conservation Voters.
